Bar Member Favorites What’s Your Favorite... Birmingham Restaurant? Each issue we will get some of our members’ thoughts on the best of something that we all know and love. For this Winter issue of the Bulletin, we asked about members’ favorite restaurants in Birmingham. Here’s what they have to say! Kimberly Perkins – BLUEPRINT ON 3RD ▼ Blueprint on 3rd is a new restaurant located next to Pepper Place. It features American cuisine in a polished-casual atmosphere. I have dined here many times with friends, and I enjoy Blueprint's menu selections. Appetizers include fried okra, hot pimento cheese with toast points, and sautéed mushrooms. My favorite course: dessert. I have tried them all - creme brûlée, chocolate cake, blueberry bread pudding, and peanut butter pie. In addition to great service, the owner always stops by the table at some point throughout the evening and personally thanks us for coming by. I highly recommend this lovely location. Andrew Salser – Andrew Salser with Josh Schaff, General Manager THE COLLINS BAR ▲ If you enjoy tailor-made hand-crafted cocktails, local craft beers, excellent conversation and not your typical "bar food," then look no further than The Collins Bar nestled on 2nd Avenue North between 21st and 22nd Street. A favorite watering hole to many across all walks of life, The Collins Bar has a casual vibe that is not easily replicated. I personally enjoy their Old Fashioneds, as well as practically anything on their food menu. Stop in and introduce yourself to Josh, Mike, Phillip, and the rest of their talented staff. Tell them I sent you. www. thecollinsbar.com Kimberly Perkins with Heather, Leslie, Kira and Kristen Al Vance – SATTERFIELD’S ► Nestled in the heart of Cahaba Heights, Satterfield’s is not your average neighborhood restaurant. It continues to provide memorable culinary experiences for our date nights, anniversaries and professional dinners. Additionally, it provides an intimate family dining experience that feels like home. It is a Vance family favorite.
