HENINGER GARRISON DAVIS HOLDS 3RD ANNUAL “IN SUMMATION” CLOSING ARGUMENT COMPETITION TO PROMOTE ADVOCACY Wayne Heard Drew Bentley Amanda Wineman Congratulations to the winners in HGD’s 3rd Annual “In Summation” Closing Argument Competition: BSL’s Wayne Heard won 1st Place and $1000; Cumberland’s Drew Bentley won 2nd Place and $750; and Amanda Wineman from Cumberland won 3rd Place and $500. Held in the newly dedicated Stephen D. Heninger Moot Court Room, Dean Scott Garrett of Birmingham School of Law, and Anne Marovich, Director of Alumni Relations for Cumberland, joined us for the competition and awards ceremony. HGD holds this competition for law students from Birmingham School of Law and Cumberland Law School to help promote advocacy and reward those law students for advancing their advocacy skills. I am thankful to Heninger Garrison Davis for the opportunity they provide students such as myself to compete and learn responsible advocacy first hand.
