NEWS Attorneys In The News Lawyers (AAAL). With Kevin’s election, Bradley becomes one of the few fi rms in the nation to have four AAAL fellows.  Bradley partner Virginia Patterson has been selected for the 2016- 2017 class of Leadership Alabama, while partner Beau Byrd has been appointed president of the Auburn Alumni Association. Virginia Patterson Frances King Quick, Shareholder with Maynard Cooper & Gale, has been selected as a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefi ts Counsel. She joins an elite group of only 13 lawyers nationwide selected as Fellows this year. Frances King Quick Partner Jeremy Gaddy and associate Sam Nicolle of Huie, associate T. Dylan Reeves of McGlinchey Staff ord, and Jonathan M. Hooks of Christian & Small LLP have all been recognized by the Birmingham Business Journal as Rising Star Lawyers for 2016. Bradley is also pleased to announce that 34 of the fi rm’s attorneys have been recognized as a “Litigation Star” in the Bradley partner Tripp Haston has been appointed Dean-Elect of the 2017 International Association of Defense Counsel’s exclusive Corporate Counsel College (CCC) and Dean of the CCC for 2018, and also has been selected to receive Benchmark Chambers International's  prestigious Letter of Appointment as a U.S. foreign legal specialist. Tripp Haston Christian & Small LLP announced that LaBella S. Alvis, a partner in the fi rm, has been appointed to fi ll a vacancy on the Alabama State Bar Board of Bar Commissioners as Bar Commissioner, Circuit 10. LaBella S. Alvis Christian & Small LLP also has announced that attorney W. Steven Nichols has been elected to the board of directors of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association’s (ADLA) Young Lawyers’ Section for District 2 in Birmingham. Crew Gentle Law, P.C. announces that Wendy Brooks Crew has been appointed to the Board of Managers and Secretary of the U.S. Chapter of the International Academy of Family Law. Crew was also among only 32 attorneys selected from around the world to be published in the International Relocation of Children, a guide from Practical Law. Bradley partner Kevin Newsom has been elected as a Fellow in the prestigious American Academy of Appellate 2017 edition of Benchmark Litigation and eight attorneys have been named to Benchmark Litigation’s inaugural “Under 40 Hot List – 2016,” while Balch & Bingham, LLP was named a “highly recommended” fi rm in Alabama by the guide for the fi fth consecutive year. Baker Donelson has been ranked among the top ten law fi rms in the country in the 2017 edition of Vault, Inc.'s "Best Law Firms for Diversity,” ranking ninth in the country on the list. Baker Donelson has also been named one of Fortune’s 100 Best Workplaces for Women for the second consecutive year.
