Announcements Attorney Announcements Burr & Forman LLP announces the election of eight attorneys to partnership, eff ective January 1. Th e new partners in Birmingham are Rachel Cash and Ben Coulter. Adams and Reese attorneys Russell J. Rutherford of Birmingham and Brian K. Smithweck of Mobile were two of seven fi rm lawyers named partner, eff ective January 1, 2018. Balch & Bingham LLP announced that Steve Feaga, former chief of the Criminal Division in the U.S. Attorney’s Offi ce for the Middle District of Alabama, will join the fi rm as its fi rst chief compliance offi cer. Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC has James W. Gibson Steve Feaga elected James W. Gibson as a partner, eff ective January 1, 2018. Gibson, who has been with the fi rm for eight years and was a summer associate during law school, focuses on defense litigation, including product liability, medical malpractice, and consumer fraud.
