We have a number of important initiatives this year, and look forward to an exceptional Bench and Bar Retreat and celebrations recognizing the 20th Anniversary of our Women Lawyers Section. Of particular excitement is the forthcoming rollout of the Bar’s new website. This opportunity resulted from our need to migrate to an advanced web and data platform, and the new site will offer community-based technologies to facilitate communication between members and various “communities” within the Bar, including sections and committees. We anticipate full operation by mid-summer, and believe the new web presence will be more user-friendly for everyone. With luck, our challenging winter weather will have moved on by the time you read this, so that we can anticipate an enjoyable spring and summer season. In the meantime, please continue to share your thoughts and ideas on how the Birmingham Bar can best be of service to you, it’s most important asset! John W.
