Birmingham Bar Association Bulletin Fall 2018

MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR With this Fall issue of the Bulletin, we present the second cover photo in our series highlighting some of the excellent statutes of Birmingham. After featuring the stately and wise Nina Miglionico statute in Linn Park on the cover of the Summer Bulletin, we turn to the highly energetic and engaging statute of the Temptations in Eddie Kendrick Memorial Park on historic Fourth Avenue North. If you have not visited either of these tributes to Birmingham natives who were fearless leaders, I’m hopeful that these cover photos will entice you to swing by there soon. This issue also includes pictures of our members enjoying the Annual Picnic at The Cedars Club. Thanks to all of you, this traditional summer kick-off event was a huge success and lots of fun! Thanks also go to the Entertainment Committee, without whom the Picnic would not be possible. More photos are available on the Bar’s YouTube Channel. I hope you enjoy the Bulletin’s increased focus on you, our members, and your accomplishments and activities. In these pages, we will continue to highlight your leadership, camaraderie and active participation, which make our Bar great. Jennifer M. Buettner Executive Director 2018 BOARD OF EDITORS William G.
